There is reportedly "speculation" that the Ford government is considering implementing even more lockdown restrictions for Ontario, including a curfew.

According to a tweet from the Toronto Sun's Brian Lilley, the Ford cabinet is set to discuss the potential restrictions at a meeting to be held on Thursday.

Lilley also said that the agenda had been "tightened up" to avoid possible leaks to journalists, a problem that the Ford government had previously attempted to address.

On Monday, it was revealed that Ford and Conservative strategist Kory Teneycke instructed his caucus to stop leaking news tips to reporters. This information was obtained via a leak.

Ontario would become the second province to put itself into curfew, if implemented. Quebec has been under a curfew since January 9, 2021.
