WATCH: New woke Star Trek features Stacey Abrams as ‘President of United Earth’

For years, Abrams has falsely claimed that she was the rightful Governor of Georgia. Now Star Trek has made the fictional governor a fictional president.

Democrat political firebrand Stacey Abrams made a cameo appearance as the President of the United Earth in the season 4 finale of Star Trek: Discovery.

Many are noting the irony of the cameo given Abrams' rise to prominence for her refusal to concede the Georgia governor’s race in 2018.

"We greet the President of the United Earth" says a voice. Doors open to reveal Stacey Abrams with two bodyguards in tow. One of the characters gives her a handshake and greets her as "Madam President."

"I’m so pleased that you’ve come. We are eager to begin diplomatic discussions," says one character. "Nothing to discuss," responds Abrams. "United Earth is ready right now to rejoin the federation, and nothing could make me happier than to say those words. Thank you. Thank you all, what you have accomplished here –"

"We were lucky to have each other, ma’am. We couldn’t have succeeded otherwise," remarked another character.

According to Mediaite, there was a further private exchange between Captain Michael Burnham, the black female protagonist of the series, and Abrams. In it, the plot is set up for the main protagonist to continue the series exploring planets on behalf of a reunited Federation.

When an NBC contributor mentioned the Stacey Abrams Star Trek cameo on Thursday morning, he highlighted how Abrams has been a fan of the show. Enough that she participated in a political discussion called "Star Trek: The Next Election" featuring various former cast members of the franchise.

The episode premiered as Abrams is once again running for governor of Georgia. According to Politico she’s currently unopposed for the primary cycle, and will likely face off against either Republican Governor Brian Kemp or former Senator David Perdue, come November.

In early February, Abrams stirred up controversy when she made a public appearance among schoolchildren during a photo-op in which the school children were masked and she was not.
