"They used a power drill to drill into (the victim’s) hand to get access to her cell phone and bank accounts," the arrest report stated.
KOMO News reported that Kevin Daniel Sanabria Ojeda, 24, and Alexander Moises Arnaez-Gutierrez, 25, have both been charged with kidnapping, robbery, as well as the attempted murder of a woman from Burien, Washington. They were charged this week at the King County Superior Court.
Charging documents cited by the outlet state that Sanabria and Arnaez-Gutierrez allegedly kidnapped a woman from an apartment complex in January earlier this year at around 10 pm. Authorities also reported that they both pose a risk to the public and that Arnaez-Gutierrez has "probable ties to Tren De Aragua."
“They used a power drill to drill into (the victim’s) hand to get access to her cell phone and bank accounts,” authorities from the King County Sheriff’s Office said in the arrest report. “They then threatened her by telling her they were going to kill her, kill her family, feed her to the bears and dump her body far away."
The police report adds that they drove her to Kittitas County, where they shot her on the side of the highway and "left her for dead" on a mountain pass. The shot did not kill the woman, and she said that she played dead for about 15 minutes after the bullet hit her shoulder.
“(Victim)stated she ducked and was struck in the shoulder,” the police report stated. "(Victim) believes the suspect thought he had hit her in the head, so she yelled and played dead. Once the suspects left the area, (victim) climbed over what was later described as a jersey barrier and flagged down a passerby."
The FBI has been enlisted by the police department to assist in the case. Sanabria was located at a motel in Illinois leading up to his arrest and “Post Miranda (rights), Sanabria stated that he participated in the kidnapping, vehicle theft, robbery and killing of the ‘lady’ known investigators as (victim)," the report stated.
Arnaez-Gutierrez was arrested in Mercer Island in Washington state earlier this week. "The facts of this case demonstrate a sophistication and pre-planning and a level of violence that is alarming," King County Senior Deputy Prosecuting Attorney Jennifer Phillips said in the charging documents.
Both are being held in King County Jail on a bail of $1 million. Arnaez-Gutierrez has previously been charged with driving without a license and driving under the influence. Sanabria has previously been charged with assault, according to court records.
