A teacher in Washington, DC has been placed on leave after being accused of exposing himself to others at the apartment complex where he lived.

The unnamed educator allegedly recorded himself committing lewd acts in many of the complex's public spaces and uploading the videos online.

In a letter obtained by NBC4, attorneys at Bozzuto Management accused the teacher of working out sans clothing and masturbating in the gym, and walking naked through the building, all of which, they argued, constituted a violation of his lease agreement.

An eviction process has been initiated, however in the mean time, he has since been banned from all public spaces within the complex.

The man, who is a 24-year veteran of the District of Columbia Public Schools system and last taught at Houston Elementary in the capital's Deanwood neighborhood, has not been hit with any criminal charges.

Nonetheless, according to a letter from Assistant Principal Kamilah Thorne obtained by WTOP, he has been placed on leave, and will not be permitted to enter school grounds while an investigation is conducted.

"I want to acknowledge that this news is concerning and emphasize that the safety and well-being of our students remain paramount," Thorne added. "We take all allegations of misconduct seriously."

No children are believed to have been involved in the alleged lewd acts, though the teacher's neighbors said minors do live in the complex.
