On Monday night, Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) endorsed Brandon Gill for Congress.

The Daily Caller was the first to report Cruz’s endorsement of Gill in a crowded GOP primary for the 26th district of Texas, a seat held by Republican Rep. Michael Burgess.

In December, Gill, the founder of the DC Enquirer and son-in-law of Dinesh D’Souza, was endorsed by former President Donald Trump.

Cruz told the outlet, “Brandon Gill has all the best characteristics of a Texan: Dedicated, hardworking, and resilient."

"With a deep understanding of what it means to take on the left and the corrupt mainstream media, Brandon has set himself apart from other candidates and is the best qualified to fight the radical left and their disastrous agenda in Congress. I am proud to endorse him for TX-26 and look forward to seeing him win his race.”

Gill thanked the Senator for the endorsement on X and wrote, “Senator Cruz is a brilliant legislator, a leader in the conservative movement, and a hero for every freedom-loving Texan.”
