Sen. Ted Cruz spoke at TPUSA's 2023 AmericaFest in Phoenix, Arizona on Tuesday, telling conservative college students "you are the solution" to the world "going nuts."

Staring out, the Senator listed many of the different problems facing America.

"We have John Fetterman paying George Santos to tell Bob Menendez to leave the Senate," Cruz said.

He added, "We have a President of the United States whose team carries extra pairs of pants with him when he travels in case he has poopy pants.

Referring to one of the most viral news stories of the week prior, Cruz joked, "We have Democrat staffers in Senate hearing rooms practicing wrestling."

Despite all of the different things going wrong in the country, Cruz told the audience he still has hope for the country because of young people in the conservative movement.

"There's a reason the left fears you," Cruz told the crowd. "You are the solution."

"The interesting thing my father told me about the Cuban revolution," Cruz recalled. "It was all people like him, it was all 14 and 15-year old boys who didn't know any better."

"That is why y'all are so dangerous," Cruz continued. "Because you have the youth and the passion and the vitality - and you don't have your head stuck up your rear end."

Cruz told the students in the crowd that Marxists take advantage of young people who do not realize the falsehoods that are behind the ideology.

"The ideas of the radical left, they are wildly unpopular," Cruz said. "Normal, rational people do not find it difficult to answer the question, 'What is a woman?'

He told the audience that even President Joe Biden would not believe the radical left on gender as "he only sniffs the hair of girls."

Cruz warned the students about the cultural Marxism that has taken place on college campuses. He explained how it has fueled antisemitism on campus in the wake of the Congressional hearing on antisemitism with the presidents of Harvard, MIT, and UPenn. He also proposed ways to change the tide of politics.

He said that young conservatives must help create transparency, to shine a light on false ideas, increase the cost to institutions of becoming political, and to create institutions that will promulgate better ideas.

Closing out, Cruz told the young crowd, "You are why I'm optimistic, you are the red pill,... you, Turning Point - the young men and women of America - you are how we bring America back."
