Before attempting to assassinate President Trump at his rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, new video footage posted to social media Monday appears to show shooter Thomas Matthew Crooks strolling around the vendor area outside the security perimeter.

Crooks is reportedly seen in the video walking past vendors selling Trump clothing and other pro-America conservative merchandise. According to the footage, the shooter casually strolled by the sellers while dressed in a gray t-shirt, light-colored cargo shorts, dark sneakers, and dark socks.

The photo police released after Crooks' was shot to death by a sniper reveals that he was wearing nearly the same outfit as seen in this new video, except he appeared to have changed out of his shorts and into pants at the time he carried out the shooting that injured Trump and others, and killed Trump supporter Corey Comperatore.

The video was first posted to TikTok under the account IronCladUSA, which was a vendor at the rally. The individual who posted the video wrote in the caption: "Terrifying moment...looking back at my videos from the PA Butler Trump rally on 7/13/24. We were there just trying to sell our patriotic hats from my small business."

"Captured a video of Thomas Matthew Crooks...just before the assassination attempt occurred," the individual continued, adding it was "interesting he was wearing shorts instead of pants, which he later had on, and he has no bags with him at this moment."

Authorities have not yet commented on the new video footage or confirmed its authenticity.

On July 13, 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks, who donated to Democratic causes, climbed on top of a roof armed with a rifle and attempted to assassinate former President Donald Trump at his rally in Butler, Pennsylvania. He fired off multiple rounds, in which one of them struck Trump in the ear. Crooks was able to gain access to a rooftop just roughly 130 yards away from the 45th president with a clear line of sight.

The United States Secret Service (USSS) came under fire over its security protocols on that day, which resulted in the resignation of its director, Kimberly Cheatle.
