Thousands of terrorist supporters flooded the streets of Manhattan to disrupt the commemoration of the first anniversary of the October 7, 2023 massacre, during which Palestinian terrorists raped, tortured and murdered over 1,200 people and kidnapped over 250 more. At least 100 hostages are still being held in captivity by Hamas terrorists in Gaza.

In advance of the solemn day, New York City lawmakers called for a day of remembrance and safe spaces for those to mourn, but anti-Israel activists had other plans. On Monday, radicals wearing keffiyehs and waving Palestinian flags at Columbia University began by disrupting about 100 Israel supporters outside the 116th Street and Broadway entrance. The protesters were advocating for the close to 100 hostages that remain in Gaza to be released.

According to The New York Post, one of the Israel advocates said over a PA system, "On October 7th at 6:29 am, terrorists wearing the exact same regalia as the protesters here, carrying the same flags, shot every person they could get their hands on.” Freedom TV News was on the scene to capture the mayhem.

On the Columbia University campus, pro-Hamas activists surrounded Israel advocates on the steps of the main library and then marched around the campus, chanting, “From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free” and “I believe that we will win.”

Joining the group was the activist daughter of Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN), Isra Hirsi, who was suspended from Barnard last year. Hirsi posted on socials about the protest, writing "resistence will be glorious, we will be victorious."

About an hour later, anti-Israel activists began gathering at Broad Street and Wall Street as NYPD officers barricaded the streets along the New York Stock Exchange and cleared tourists from the area.

The assembled mob began chanting “No cops, no KKK, no fascist USA,” “There is only one solution, intifada revolution,” and “Long live the intifada.”

The majority of the activists were comprised by members of the violent pro-Hamas organization Within Our Lifetime. The founder of the group, Nerdeen Kiswani, told the crowd, “We are going to flood New York City. For all of Gaza, for all of Yemen, for all of Lebanon,” as the mob headed uptown chanting, “Israel bombs, USA pays, how many kids did you kill today?”

She also led the activists in demanding that "Zionist Eric Adams" resign as the group moved up to city hall chanting "Long Live October 7th."

The group made it’s way to meet up with more radicals, including hundreds of New York University students who had assembled in Washington Square Park, chanting, “We will honor all our martyrs.”

The assembled group then marched to Grand Central Station and scuffled with police, smashed car windows, vandalized property and set off smoke bombs.

Activists were kept away from an October 7 commemoration ceremony in Central Park featuring Mayor Eric Adams and Governor Kathy Hochul but instead worked their way to Times Square to disrupt another memorial service. Radicals scuffled with police and about half a dozen activists were arrested.

New York City lawmaker Robert Holden (D-Queens) called the radical's actions "support of terrorism," telling The Post, "It's disgusting, disgraceful and appalling."

Michelle Ahdoot, director of programming and strategy at End Jew Hatred, described the protests as  "Immoral, pro-Hamas protesters thrown together by organizations which celebrate the Oct. 7 attacks, replete with the systemic targeting of Jews and the dissemination of hateful misinformation, are particularly deplorable.”
