A federal judge has given Joe Exotic's rival, Carole Baskin, control of Exotic's zoo in Oklahoma as part of a $1 million ruling concerning a trademark dispute.

Exotic is serving a 22-year sentence for his involvement in animal abuse and a murder-for-hire plot.

The zoo's operator has been given 120 days to leave the location, according BBC News.

Tiger King exploded on Netflix in March, telling the tale of Joe Exotic and his rivalry with Carole Baskin, who runs an animal sanctuary in Florida.

Exotic, whose real name is Joseph Maldonado-Passage, had gone so far as to use similar logos as Baskin's Big Cat Rescue company. Baskin responded by suing Exotic for trademark infringement in 2011, a case that lasted two years and ended in Exotic having to pay Big Cat Rescue $1 million.

Then in 2016, Big Cat Rescue sued Exotic's mother Shirley Schreibvogel, saying that Exotic had fraudulently moved his zoo under name to avoid paying Baskin and others.

Based on recent documents, US District Judge Scott L. Palk discovered that the transfer Exotic made was to "remove [the zoo] from the reach of Big Cat Rescue."

And now Jeff Lowe, Joe Exotic's former business partner who took over the zoo after Exotic was arrested, has been told by authorities to leave the zoo in Wynnewood, Oklahoma, and to remove all his exotic animals.
