"The most anti-war President of my lifetime and she calls him Hitler. Let me remind you, Hillary, it was your husband who shot innocent people, or as he called them, 'interns.'"
Comedian Tony Hinchcliffe spoke at the Trump-Vance campaign rally at Madison Square Garden on Sunday, where he called out former presidential candidate Hillary Clinton for falsely claiming that the event was a Nazi rally.
During Hinchcliffe’s comedic address, he cracked several jokes, poking fun at black and Latino voters, with Hinchcliffe noting that it’s particularly hard to do a comedy set following the national anthem.
Many of the jokes were picked up by the Kamala HQ X account, attempting to frame the jokes by the well-known Kill Tony host as being serious statements.
“Hillary Clinton said that this is a Nazi rally today… The most anti-war President of my lifetime and she calls him Hitler. Let me remind you, Hillary, it was your husband who shot innocent people, or as he called them; interns… I bet you did Nazi that one coming.”
Hinchcliffe also joked that if he ends up committing suicide in the next 3 weeks, “I didn’t.”
The backlash to Hinchcliffe’s comments was swift. New York Democratic Congressman Ritchie Torres took one joke about Puerto Rico personally.
“There’s literally a floating island of garbage in the middle of the ocean right now. I think it’s called Puerto Rico,” Hinchcliffe joked, to which Torres replied: “As a Puerto Rican, I am tempted to call Hinchcliffe racist garbage but doing so would be an insult to garbage. When casting their ballots at the voting booth, Latinos should never forget the racism that Donald Trump seems all too willing to platform.”
Hinchcliffe is a professional comedian and the host of the largest and most successful live comedy podcast, Kill Tony. The show is generally non-political, though that did not stop Hinchcliffe from hosting comedians Adam Ray and Shane Gillis to portray President Joe Biden and President Donald Trump, respectively, in a podcast that has garnered over 20 million views.
Guests of the show have included Dr. Jordan Peterson, Joe Rogan, and Tucker Carlson.
