The City of Toronto is advising restaurants to start preparing to reopen along with personal service businesses such as hair and nail salons and barbers, according to CityNews.
An announcement regarding the date of the reopening has not yet been made by the Ontario government, but we do know that a big announcement will be coming next week.
The city said in a release that it plans to communicate with businesses in the coming week to enable the resumption of business as soon as restrictions are lifted by the province.
"To reduce the risk of spreading COVID-19 to staff and clients, physical distancing measures, enhanced cleaning and disinfection, and other public health requirements must be followed when businesses reopen," states the City’s release.
"The City will also work with business owners to understand enforcement, accessibility and cleaning requirements, and how to maintain physical distancing to keep customers and employees safe."
