On Friday, trans activist and TikTok influencer Dylan Mulvaney released a video revealing the results of a "facial feminization" cosmetic surgery, a procedure the social media star said was "life saving."

"That's a wrap on face reveal. Oh my gosh, That's a wrap on face reveal," Mulvaney said. "Oh my gosh, hi! I missed you, you know, I have a flair for the dramatics, But it's so good, right? I'm so happy and it's still me, it's just a little bit softer of a version."

Mulvaney continued, "And I just hope that all trans and non-binary people can get the gender affirming resources that they need, because this is life changing and sometimes life saving. So thank you so much for supporting me. And we've got so much to catch up on. I love ya."

The video's first portion featured Mulvaney, a former actor and comedian, dancing to a rendition of Swan Lake in a garb that resembled a tutu dress with frills made of carving knives.

A second portion features Mulvaney posing as if in a film premiere, and a third portion is a direct address to the audience where the influencer mentions "gender affirming" care.

Gender affirming care is a euphemism used to refer to a person's medicalized sex change, typically including the use of life-changing puberty blockers, hormone treatments, and surgeries. The term is frequently deployed when speaking about children who identify as transgender.

In October, Mulvaney, who has referred to women's genitals as "barbie pockets," was invited to the White House and spoke with Joe Biden about gender affirming care. In that interview, Mulvaney, who once identified as a gay man, then non-binary, and then a woman, said, "trans people aren't going anywhere… and that trans kids… deserve a fighting chance to be their true selves."

"Do you think states should have a right to ban gender affirming health care?" Mulvaney asked.

"I don't think any state or anybody should have the right to do that," Biden said.

Mulvaney has 10.3 million followers on TikTok, the platform where the influencer posts the 100 Days of Girlhood series, a vlog tracking the biological male's quest to become a girl. Day 222 was Mulvaney's trip to Washington.

As the Daily Mail reports, Mulvaney tracked and video documented on social media the various updates to the surgery.
