Donald Trump attended his youngest son’s high school graduation in Florida on Friday after being given the go-ahead by the judge overseeing his ongoing New York City trial.

Barron Trump, 18, graduated from Oxbridge Academy in West Palm Beach Florida in a private ceremony. According to the Palm Beach Post, the private school issued a statement ahead of the graduation noting that the ceremony is "private, by invitation only." It did not mention Trump’s youngest son but noted that there was a "heightened interest in this year’s event."

In a post to Truth Social, Trump wrote, "Going to Barron’s High School Graduation. Great student, wonderful boy! Very exciting!!!"

Barron Trump will be heading off to college after graduation, though it is unclear where he has decided to go, Fox News reported. Donald Trump has previously spoken on the possibility of his son attending his father’s alma mater, the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. Ivanka Trump, Donald Trump Jr., and Tiffany Trump also graduated from the school. Eric Trump attended Georgetown University.

Judge Merchan had previously said that Trump could not attend his son’s graduation and would be required to be in court, which has been meeting on weekdays except for Wednesdays, but later granted the request.

"Barron’s a great student and he’s very proud of the fact he did so well and was looking forward for years to having his graduation with his mother and father there," Trump said before Merchan granted the request to miss the trial for a day.
