Following a mob of pro-Palestinian agitators attempting to tear down fencing surrounding the White House on Saturday night, 2024 GOP frontrunner Donald Trump criticized the mainstream media’s lack of coverage and called for the release of protestors arrested on January 6, 2021, at the Capitol.

"So interesting to watch anti-Israel protestors violently demonstrating at the [White] House, getting close to tearing down the fences that protect the President, and NOTHING is even mentioned about it in the LameStream Media, which is merely a subsidiary of the Democrat Party," Trump wrote on Truth Social. "No arrests, no nothing. Free the J6 Hostages, NOW!!"

The crowd on Saturday evening was seen attempting to rip down non-scalable fencing that was erected outside the White House. The mob of agitators threw dolls soaked in red paint at officers dressed in riot gear.

Footage from the night showed the metal barrier being shifted by the crowd. The crowd chanted "ceasefire now" and "free free Palestine."

The US Secret Service told Fox News, "During the demonstration near the White House complex Jan. 13, a portion of the anti-scale fencing that was erected for the event sustained temporary damage."

"The issues were promptly repaired on site by US Secret Service support teams."

"As a precaution, some members of the media and staff in proximity to Pennsylvania Avenue were temporarily relocated while the issue was being addressed," the statement continued. "The Secret Service made no arrests associated with the march and there was no property damage to the White House or adjacent buildings."

This comes as the Biden administration’s Department of Justice has sentenced around 450 January 6 defendants to a combined nearly 850 years in prison. Over 1,200 people have been arrested in connection to the day, many of which have been charged with entering or remaining in a restricted federal building or grounds, obstructing an official proceeding, assaulting or impeding police officers, and destruction or theft of government property.
