On Thursday, former President Donald Trump challenged Vice President Kamala Harris to officially disavow Hamas terrorist sympathizers and condemn antisemitism on college campuses. The 2024 GOP nominee charged that Harris "has done absolutely nothing" to combat the "explosion of antisemitism" under her tenure in the White House.

Trump, who recently survived a second assassination attempt, made the comments while speaking at a "Fighting Anti-Semitism in America" event in Washington, DC.

"I'm calling on Kamala Harris to officially disavow the support of all Hamas sympathizers, antisemites, Israel haters on college campuses and everywhere else," the presidential hopeful said.

Adding, "She has not lifted a single finger to protect you or to protect your children or to even protect you with words."

Trump criticized Harris for reportedly showing sympathy for the anti-Israel protesters who established Gaza encampments on college campuses nationwide. The demonstrators often terrorized Jewish students, said Trump.

"Kamala Harris said that the radical demonstrators on college campuses were, 'human emotion should be this way.' This is her message," he said.

Trump was responding to a July interview with "The Nation" in which the vice president stated that the campus disruptors were "showing exactly what the human emotion should be, as a response to Gaza," as per the New York Post. Harris contended that she "absolutely reject[s]" some of the things the protesters were saying, but she "understand[s] the emotion behind it."

The GOP nominee called his opponent's rhetoric "dangerous" and "unbefitting" for someone who wants to be president. Despite the challenge to condemn antisemitism and Hamas, Trump told the crowd: "She won't do it. You know that. She's not going to do it."

Please provide evidence of the claim: "The demonstrators often terrorized Jewish students." College protests are organized by Jewish students & many of those protesting are Jews who oppose the conflation of Judaism with Israel & Zionism. The Biden/Harris administration provided billions of dollars in bombs used to carry out war crimes & genocide on the Palestinian population. Ralph Nader now estimates over 300,000 Palestinians have been killed since Oct 7 by Israel. College students object to the investment of university dollars into the corporations manufacturing the weapons used in this massacre. Announcement by MIT students today: “As of today, and due to pressure from students and scientists at MIT, the university has discontinued the Lockheed Martin Seed Fund and does not plan to renew it.” The campus protests & pressure to divest will continue. Students have a right to assemble & a right to political speech. Their voice is essential in this time of horrific injustices perpetrated using American dollars & American made weapons.

45 American physicians back home from serving patients in Gaza signed an open letter to President Biden about the horrors they witnessed treating Palestinian victims of Israeli war crimes. “Specifically, every one of us on a daily basis treated pre-teen children who were shot in the head and chest." ... "We wish you could see the nightmares that plague so many of us since we have returned: dreams of children maimed and mutilated by our weapons, and their inconsolable mothers begging us to save them. We wish you could hear the cries and screams our consciences will not let us forget.” The letter was posted to Twitter/X by American surgeon Feroze Sidwa, MD. _ https://x.com/FerozeSidhwa/status/1816488896005648589/photo/1
