President Trump expressed his criticism of Democrat-enforced lockdowns implemented in Democrat-run states, stating that they are "ruining the lives of so many people."

He tweeted:

"The lockdowns in Democrat run states are absolutely ruining the lives of so many people - Far more than the damage that would be caused by the China Virus. Cases in California have risen despite the lockdown, yet Florida & others are open & doing well. Common sense please!"

Indeed, Democrat-run states like California have very strict measures in place, but the numbers still aren't going the way they want them to go.

There was a lot of argument following the tweet back and forth, and many people supporting Trump's point of view:

"Facts: Thank you!! Exactly. Many youth will NEVER reach their collegiate goals & hard working business owners dreams will die due to unrealistic hysteria. I challenge ANYONE to debate irrefutable facts.  Political bias is leading to millions of deaths due to poverty & depression."

Also, more than one person called to attention the bias Twitter has against the President's tweets, and possibly many others:

"I liked and Twitter unlikes.  I watched it throttle your likes from 69 to 54 then a minute later back to 74.  Their algo[rithm] is dangerous.  Section 230 anyone?"
