The former president made the traditional stop to the Iowa State Fair.
As former President Donald Trump took the stage at the Iowa State Fair, large crowds of supporters came pouring in to see him speak. The crowd at the rally chanted around him, "Four more years!"
The former president made a stop at the Iowa State Fair as is tradition for presidential candidates leading up to it being the first state to vote in the primary.
Views from a Ferris wheel at the fair got a bird's eye view of the crowd while Trump threw out signed hats to supporters and greeted voters.
As Trump spoke he addressed the Iowa crowd about farmers in the agricultural industry. Iowa leads the way in the production of corn, soybeans, eggs, and other commodity food items.
Trump said, "We are going to take care of our country. We are going to take care of Iowa."
"I feel so strongly about the farmers!” Trump said. "The other side... they don't care about the farmers. I don't even think they come here to campaign."
Trump told the crowd that the Democrats won't come to campaign because they will not be able to beat Trump in the election.
Trump brought up Matt Whitaker, who took the role of Trump's acting attorney general when Jeff Sessions resigned during his administration. Whitaker came on stage and told everyone to send a text in support of the former president.
Trump also praised army veteran and Rep. Brian Mast (R-FL).
In giving praise to Trump, Mast said, that he will "hold up our veterans."
"He doesn’t turn his back on our veterans!” Mast continued. "He takes care of our veterans. That is our President. Donald J. Trump, we've had him before and we're gonna have him again."
Mast saluted Trump before leaving the stage.
Well-known congressman and Trump ally Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) also took to the stage with Trump.
He told the crowd that Trump will be the only candidate that will be able to take back the country from the radical left.
