In a final poll released ahead of Tuesday’s primary election in New Hampshire, Donald Trump leads Nikki Haley, the only other remaining major candidate in the primary election, by 22 points.

The Suffolk University/NBC10 Boston/Boston Globe tracking poll, released on Tuesday morning, found that Trump leads Haley 60 to 38 percent, gaining three points since a poll released on Monday.

Just one percent of likely New Hampshire Republican primary voters said they would vote for someone else, and an additional one percent was undecided.

76 percent said they were not at all likely to change their mind before voting, and an additional 13 percent said they were not very likely to change their mind. Just 2 percent said they were very likely to change their mind, and an additional six percent said they were somewhat likely.

The poll also found that Trump voters were far more likely to cast their ballot because they supported Trump. Voters for Nikki Haley were split 46-46 percent on whether their vote was "more a vote for Nikki Haley or against Donald Trump." 84 percent of voters said their vote was for Trump, not against Nikki Haley.

The poll was conducted between January 21 and 22 of 500 likely New Hampshire primary voters and has a margin of error of 4.4 percent.

The first election of the state took place in the early hours of Tuesday, with the six registered voters of Dixville Notch in Northern New Hampshire casting their vote for Nikki Haley.

New Hampshire's primary election is the first to take place in the 2024 election cycle. Iowa's GOP caucus, which was the first caucus to take place, occurred on January 15. Trump was declared the winner just 30 minutes after the caucus started.
