Former President Donald Trump made an appearance at the Formula 1 Miami Grand Prix on Sunday where he was greeted by chants of “USA” by attendees who were delighted to see him.
The Florida resident took advantage of the opportunity to attend the event held outside Hard Rock Stadium in Miami. Trump was in Florida this weekend to attend an RNC fundraiser on Saturday night. He is expected back in New York on Monday to sit for another week of a criminal trial brought by Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg and is anticipated in Wildwood, NJ for a rally on May 11.
Trump was seen walking through the pit lane and venturing into the pit garage of the McLaren team. There, he was greeted by Mclaren CEO Zak Brown who showed him the team’s car.
Trump's presence added to the star-studded allure of the Miami Grand Prix, with rumors of high-profile celebrities in attendance including former NFL player Tom Brady, basketball legend LeBron James, Super Bowl champion Travis Kelce and more.
Trump had planned to attend a fundraiser in one of the private suites, but Tom Garfinkel, CEO of the Miami Dolphins and Hard Rock Stadium, said that fundraising would not be permitted at the event.
