Trump plans to call out Kamala’s far-left record as Biden’s VP, Cali AG, San Fran DA during debate on Tuesday

"Kamala Harris not only has to defend her record as vice president, but it's also really her record as president, as co-president, because she's the one running the country."

Donald Trump plans on tying Kamala Harris to her record as Vice President in the Biden-Harris administration, as California Attorney General, and as San Franciso's DA in Tuesday's debate against the Democratic candidate, which takes place at 9 pm eastern and is in Pittsburgh.

On a press call in the lead-up to the debate, the Trump camp informed reporters that Kamala Harris will have to "defend her record" as the VP during the last few years. "Kamala Harris not only has to defend her record as vice president, but it's also really her record as president, as co-president, because she's the one running the country,” Senior Trump campaign advisor Jason Miller told reporters on Monday.

The New York Times reported that the VP will have to face the challenge of "pushing ahead without leaving Biden behind." The Trump camp has other plans, and will seek to tie her down to Biden as much as possible. Miller added in the call Monday that Harris will not only have to also have to account for her record as the VP, but also for her time as Attorney General of California and San Francisco’s DA.

Congressman Matt Gaetz, when he was asked about what a successful debate would look like for Trump, responded by saying that a good night for Trump be "if President Trump ties Kamala Harris to her record."

"That'll be success, because the American people will see what a dangerous radical liberal" she is, Gaetz added. The Times agreed that the American voter seeing her as similar to Biden would be the main vulnerability for Harris, as a recent poll showed that people are looking for a change, but that Harris can be painted easily as more of the same as she has been serving as the VP in the current administration. At the same time, looking too similar to Trump on policies like the border will also pose a challenge to her.

The Trump camp also added that a possible target of Trump during the debate will be that Harris will not know enough of the material that will be brought up in the debate.

“Right now, you have Kamala Harris, who's in this debate boot camp, being drilled by new advisors who worked for President Obama that she doesn't know,” Miller told reporters. “She has binders full of details trying to figure out what's been happening at the Department of Labor for the past three and a half years, trying to explain where those 800,000 jobs went.”

Miller expanded on that Harris will likely be stressed out on the debate stage with the audience while trying to remember all the information that she has tried to store in her head the last few days. “President Trump is going to be himself,” Miller said of the GOP nominee when asked if Trump would take a “different tone” because he is facing Harris instead of Biden.
