Donald Trump will hold major news conference Wednesday at his Mar-a-Lago estate.
Trump promised a “general news conference” scheduled for 2 pm, noting the unwillingness of Harris to answer any questions since effectively being appointed as the Democratic presidential candidate after President Joe Biden dropped out of the race. Biden dropped out amid public and private pressure following his miserable performance against Trump in their June 27 Atlanta debate.
“Kamala refuses to do interviews because her team realizes she is unable to answer questions, much like Biden was not able to answer questions, but for different reasons,” Trump posted on Truth Social. “He is just plain ‘shot,’ and she is just plain ‘Incompetent.’”
Trump again warned that the Harris-Walz ticket would create a “1929 Style Great Depression.” Trump has sought to turn the spotlight on Harris’ honeymoon with the national media – even though she refuses to talk to that media. Reports have indicated that what she doesn't do publicly she has been doing privately, holding off-the-record briefings with the press that travel with her aboard her campaign plane.
Harris has not responded to a single on-the-record question from a reporter since she effectively became Biden’s replacement after enormous pressure from Democratic donors and party bosses forced the president to end his presidential campaign.
On Fox News Wednesday, he answered questions from journalists and ordinary Americans. He spent much of his time saying Harris’ choice of Gov. Tim Walz (D-MN) would promote a Republican victory in the presidential election because he shares the vice president’s woke policy positions.
At a rally in Eau Claire, Wisc. Wednesday, Vice Presidential candidate JD Vance made a point of responding to multiple questions from local and national media on the same tarmac where those reporters were waiting, pointlessly, to hear from Harris.
