Trump would create free 'freedom-focused' online 'American Academy' as president—and he'd make the woke Ivies pay for it

On Wednesday, Donald Trump announced his plan to reform higher education in the United States, citing the fact that, for far too long now, the woke left has been given free rein to infiltrate colleges and universities and indoctrinate students.

The former president vowed to use the money collected by taxing, fining, and suing "excessively large private university endowments" to create a new institution called the American Academy, which will provide world class, freedom-focused education to students across the country free of charge.

"In recent weeks, Americans have been horrified to see students and faculty at Harvard and other once-respected universities expressing support for the savages and jihadists who attacked Israel," Trump began.

He went on to point out that, despite spending the most per capita on higher education of any nation in the world, US institutions have been busy not teaching the next generation how to succeed in the world, but "turning [them] into communists and terrorists and sympathizers."

"We can't let this happen," Trump said. "It's time to offer something dramatically different."

The former president explained that the American Academy will "gather an entire universe of the highest quality educational content covering the full spectrum of human knowledge and skills, and make that material available to every American citizen online, for free."

Those who choose to partake will have access to courses, lectures, and information in a wide variety of disciplines, including the trades, history, and finance.

The academy will provide students with credits, certificates, and diplomas that will then be recognized by the US government to be on par with those offered at universities that offer four-year programs. Those who have already taken courses elsewhere will be able to transfer those credits over.

"This will be a truly top-tier education option for the people," Trump continued, emphasizing that "It will be strictly non-political and there will be no wokeness or jihadism allowed."

While it's no secret that many of America's institutes of higher learning have been taken over by the woke movement in recent years, the past few weeks have shown just how damaging that ideology has been not only for students, but the country at large.
