President Donald Trump's mugshot, which was taken at the Fulton County Jail in Georgia in 2023, has been seen hanging just outside the Oval Office in the White House. The mugshot immediately became one of the most well-known photos in the country when it was taken.

Photos taken inside the Oval Office went viral on X on Friday after Trump was meeting with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the office on Thursday. Among others seen in the photos are Secretary of the Interior Doug Bergum, Elon Musk as well as Secretary of State Marco Rubio.

In 2023, after Trump was indicted on charges relating to the 2020 presidential election, Trump turned himself in at the jail, where the photo was taken of Trump looking fiercely at the camera at the time. Trump was being prosecuted at the time by Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis, whose case against Trump has since gone by the wayside after she was disqualified from prosecuting him. It was revealed she had romantic a relationship with special prosecutor Nathan Wade, who she hired on in the case.

Trump's new official White House portrait bears a similar look from the president. When the White House portrait was released after Trump assumed office in January, the portrait, like the mugshot, caught the attention of the media as well as others online, where it went viral alongside the 2023 mugshot.

The hallway where the mugshot hangs leads to a private area in the White House, according to ABC News. The mugshot is on the cover of a copy of the New York Post.
