Turning Point USA and Turning Point Action founder Charlie Kirk announced that Turning Point Action will be hosting a "Make America Healthy Again" town hall with Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and Calley Means on Sept. 17.

Kirk posted the announcement on his social media on Friday with a link to registration. The event is set to be hosted in Old Town Scottsdale, Arizona after the former independent presidential candidate threw his support behind Donald Trump last month. "Turning Point Action and TPPAC are honored to host a MAKE AMERICA HEALTHY AGAIN TOWN HALL featuring the great Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and Calley Means," Kirk said.

The event address has not been released as of yet, but will be as the town hall gets closer. Doors open at 5:30 and the program will start an hour later, per the TPAction website. The form to register indicates that the information on location and other instruction will be emailed out on Monday, Sept. 16, the day before.

Kennedy has made it a goal to help America get back on track to being healthy again and made that a central part of his messaging plan throughout his campaign. When he endorsed Trump to be president in 2024, he spoke at length about the harmful effects of overprocessed foods and other health risks that are making Americans chronically ill.

Means is the cofounder of Truemed Payments, an organization that helps Americans coordinate Health Savings Account (HSA) payments to be directed towards costs associated with wellness, exercise, and health. HSAs allow for tax-free investment in the market with funds that can later be taken out of the investment account tax-free to pay down health costs as long as the cost qualifies.

On Means' about page he states, "My mission is to steer more healthcare dollars to incentivize metabolic habits at the root of disease (healthy food, exercise, sleep, stress management). This is where the rubber hits the road to change our current trajectory."

“Right now, we have a sick-care system where 95% of healthcare dollars are spent to manage disease after people get sick. It is a big problem when the largest (and fastest growing) industry in the country is incentivized for us to be sick,” he adds, and cites Truemed as one of the ways that he is trying to reverse this trend.
