VINDICATED: Trump’s claims about Twitter election interference proven true after Hunter Biden censorship revelations

"I am glad that everyone is now seeing the light on what I have been saying out loud and clear for the last two years, that the 2020 Presidential Election was rigged and stolen by a combination of Democrats, Big Tech, 'law enforcement,' and other bad actors."

On Wednesday Elon Musk confirmed that Twitter had interfered in elections and on Friday the CEO released "the Twitter files" concerning "What really happened with the Hunter Biden story suppression" by the social media giant.

In response, former President Donald Trump posted on Truth Social, "I am glad that everyone is now seeing the light on what I have been saying out loud and clear for the last two years, that the 2020 Presidential Election was rigged and stolen by a combination of Democrats, Big Tech, 'law enforcement,' and other bad actors."

"Sadly, we have become a corrupt Country, perhaps one of the most corrupt anywhere in the world. We MUST right this horrible wrong, and take our Country back!" Trump added.

Trump claimed after the 2020 presidential election that a combination of efforts had led to his election loss, and has continued to express these concerns in rallies and speeches across the US.

79 percent of Americans have said in polling that the 2020 election results would have been different had the Hunter Biden story not been suppressed.

Others on social media echoed the president's sentiment.

In the first round of the Twitter files, as reported by Matt Taibbi, "By 2020, requests from connected actors to delete tweets were routine. One executive would write to another: 'More to review from the Biden team.' The reply would come back: 'Handled.'

Further, the files show that "Twitter was and is overwhelmingly staffed by people of one political orientation," and channels were deferential to Democrats and Biden.

In October 2020, in the lead up to the general presidential election in the US, Emma Jo Morris broke the story in the New York Post of a discarded laptop left at a Delaware computer repair shop. That laptop belonged to Hunter Biden, and on it, a treasure trove of explicit material was found. But what Morris wrote about was the evidence contained on that laptop that pointed to the Biden family having engaged in influence peddling as well as shady international business dealings.

The story was suppressed and censored by social media platforms Twitter and Facebook, both outlets assuming that the information was false.

"The Twitter Files, Part One: How and Why Twitter Blocked the Hunter Biden Laptop Story."

"On October 14, 2020, the New York Post published BIDEN SECRET EMAILS, an expose based on the contents of Hunter Biden’s abandoned laptop:"Twitter took extraordinary steps to suppress the story, removing links and posting warnings that it may be 'unsafe.' They even blocked its transmission via direct message, a tool hitherto reserved for extreme cases, e.g. child pornography.
