WATCH: Biden walks back his promise of $2000 for all Americans without even blinking

On the day before the Senate runoff election, he said that $2,000 checks would "go out the door immediately."

President Joe Biden is changing his tune on the promise of the $2000 stimulus checks, now saying that the previous $600 sent out will be included in the $2000 total he was talking about.

This is in direct contrast to what Biden said back in January, on the cusp of the Georgia Senate Runoff elections. On the day before the Senate runoff election, he said that $2,000 checks would "go out the door immediately."

"If you send [Democratic Senate candidates] Jon [Ossoff] and the Reverend [Rafael Warnock] to Washington, those $2,000 checks will go out the door," Biden said in early January. "And if you send Sens. Perdue and Loeffler back to Washington, those checks will never get there. It's just that simple. The power is literally in your hands," said Biden on Jan. 5.

Obviously, this has upset many people across the country. One Rumble user even replied:

"I’d send mine back if he would tear up the Keystone pipeline EO. He could forward my check to Hunters baby mama in Arkansas. She probably could use it since he stiffed her for child support...win win for everyone!"
