Brandon Straka of the #WalkAway Campaign released the full video of a mob of Black Lives Matter activists throwing bottles at him and his staff members before smashing one staff member's phone after an event in Dallas, Texas, on September 5. Straka appeared on the Tucker Carlson show Thursday evening to discuss what happened at the event nearly a week ago.
The segment was kicked off by Carlson showing a segment of a video that revealed Black Lives Matter members chasing the #WalkAway Campaign staff out of the area, yelling and screaming at them, with one black member of the radical group saying: "You want me to show you violence? I will show you violence."
Carlson noted that much of the mainstream media has opted not to cover the story, concealing how Black Lives Matter members behave when engaging with non-violent people who happen to hold a different political position than they do.
Straka said that the incident was ignited by an Antifa member named Dominque Alexander rushing toward the stage before being stopped by Straka's security. When security attempted to remove the far-leftist, he put his fist into the neck of one of the security members. As a result, the authorities "took him down."
Alexander has a history of alleged violence, with his longtime partner Keyaira Saunders accusing Alexander of assaulting her and attempting to strangle her in 2019.
Straka suggested that Alexander had a relationship with the chief of police in Dallas who had resigned "just two days ago in the midst of all this chaos," perhaps alluding to the idea that this is why Alexander did not face a harsher consequence for his actions.
Straka continued by explaining that he had approached one of the several news outlets there to report on the event. When he asked one of the outlets if they wanted to hear both sides of the story, they obliged and said he could make a few statements. As this happened, Straka said that he was immediately surrounded by a mob of Black Lives Matter activists while standing right in front of the media.
Straka and his team were chased for five blocks, with media sources capturing the event, but refused to run the story. He noted that none of the Black Lives Matter members were arrested.
The #WalkAway Campaign is founded by Straka, who was once a liberal and turned to conservatism after the left descended into radicalism and intolerance. The movement is designed to encourage others to explore other political options if they are unhappy with the direction the left is going.
