The Global Pandemic Treaty would allow the World Health Organization to dictate how nations respond to a global pandemic.

While sounding the alarm about the WHO's highly controversial Global Pandemic Treaty that will be discussed at the upcoming 75th World Health Assembly in Geneva, Switzerland, this weekend, Charlie Kirk said that conservative US states need to secede from the World Health Organization.

"Every state right now needs to have a special session and pass a bill signed by the governor saying, 'We do not honor the WHO in the state of Florida, in the state of South Dakota, the state of Nebraska,' whatever it is, the states need to secede from the WHO," Kirk said, while speaking to guest Daniel Horowitz on The Charlie Kirk Show.

"The states need to have a declaration and preempt intervention from Tedros and from all these people...that is the only solution," Kirk added.

The Global Pandemic Treaty would allow the World Health Organization to dictate how nations respond to a global pandemic. Opponents of the treaty are calling it the single, greatest global power grab of our lifetimes, which ultimately lays the foundation for global governance.

In 2020, former President Donald Trump withdrew the United States from the WHO, only for President Biden to sign an executive order in early 2021 that brought the US back into the World Health Organization.

Under amendments written into the proposed treaty by the Biden administration, 194 nations would cede sovereignty over national health care decisions to the WHO. The proposed amendments would grant the WHO global jurisdiction over the United States and every nation that belongs to the WHO, including the authority to declare national emergencies.

President Trump pulled out of the WHO due to significant Chinese influence within the organization and their failure to contain coronavirus, relying entirely on Chinese Communist Party recommendations and guidance. Trump chose to divert funding to other global initiatives. The controversy around the WHO stems from the fact that the WHO has played a negative part in amplifying faulty virus information from Beijing.
