Barstool "Presidente" Dave Portnoy published his interview with President Donald Trump on Friday, as the comedian sat down and had a semi-apolitical conversation just outside of the Oval Office with the businessman-turned-politician.

Portnoy, who insists he isn't in to politics, has previously expressed approval for the president, even saying that he hoped he was victorious in his 2016 campaign, saying: “I don’t care if he’s a joke. I don’t care if he’s racist. I don’t care if he’s sexist. I don’t care about any of it. I hope he stays in the race and I hope he wins. Why? Because I love the fact that he is making other politicians squirm. I love the fact he says shit nobody else will say regardless of how ridiculous it is.”

While the interview immediately gained negative feedback from hardline anti-Trumpers, Portnoy defended his decision to sit with the president in a tweet published on Friday, saying: “I have a hard and fast rule I live by,” he tweeted. “If any sitting President of the United States invites me to the Oval Office I go.”

Portnoy, a savvy business man and comedian, recently made the jump from sports to day trading under the moniker of "Davey Day Trader," where he has created a public feud with billionaire financier Warren Buffett, going so far as to call him "washed up."
