Fauci said it's "just too soon to tell" whether Christmas gatherings should be limited for the second year in a row.

Dr. Anthony Fauci, chief medical adviser to President Joe Biden, was on CBS's "Face The Nation" on Sunday morning when the topic came up of the possibility of lockdowns or other similar pandemic-era measures around the Christmas season.

CBS News host Margaret Brennan asked Fauci whether his office was looking at recommending stricter COVID-19 measures for over the holidays, and whether "we can gather for Christmas, or [is it] just too soon to tell?"

"You know, Margaret. It's just too soon to tell. We've just gotta concentrate on continuing to get those numbers down, and not jump ahead by weeks or months and say what we're gonna do at a particular time," responded Fauci.

Fauci was also recently quoted as saying that booster shots should be included in the definition of what it means to be "fully vaccinated."

Also, Fauci has infamously changed his position many times on issues surrounding the coronavirus. Particularly noteworthy is his 180-degree reversal on the origins of the virus from 2020 to 2021.
