Podcast firebrand Joe Rogan blasted President Joe Biden's lack of strong leadership while discussing the current state of American politics Friday.
The show's eponymous host was speaking with guest and fellow comedian Iliza Shlesinger on the iconic podcast Friday when the topic of cancel culture came up. Rogan iterated that he feels that the lack of a proper leader in America is at least partially to blame for the current mob mentality dominating the culture.
Rogan mentioned how he feels about the current cultural environment:
"I think people are gonna be talking about all the changes happening right here and right now in the future. They're gonna be saying it's one of the most tumultuous periods in the history of the country."
Shlesinger elaborated: "We'll look back and it'll be scary. It'll be like 'I dunno, everybody was afraid of getting cancelled. People were eating each other. Nobody is listening to science.' [...] We are coming across like f—ing idiots, like animals."
"Well, we're unhinged in a lot of ways. And we're not anchored down by a real leader. You know, we don't really have a real leader in this country anymore," Rogan replied to Shlesinger. "I mean, you could say Joe Biden is the president, he’s our leader, and you’d be correct on paper, but everybody knows he's out of his mind. He's barely hanging in there."
