Vice President Kamala Harris was widely condemned for wiping her hand on her pants after shaking hands with South Korean President Moon Jae-In on Friday.

Viewers have commented that the vice president's maneuver is due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but it can be clearly noted in the video that Harris was the one who first offered her hand to Moon, not the other way around.

Also, it has been confirmed that Harris has received both doses of Moderna's version of the COVID-19 vaccine, and has been fully vaccinated since January, according to the Daily Mail.  In accordance with the new CDC guidelines, neither Harris nor Moon were wearing masks.

"Today, I met with Republic of Korea President Moon. We discussed North Korea, global health, and how we can address the root causes of migration from the Northern Triangle. We look forward to working with President Moon to address the challenges we face," tweeted Harris on Friday following the meeting, one of the first in-person meetings to have taken place involving the White House since President Joe Biden's inauguration.

Moon and Harris also discussed the subject of North Korea at length, as it is once again becoming a pressing issue for America's ally. Moon also participated in a ceremony where 94-year-old Korean War veteran Ralph Puckett was granted the esteemed Medal of Honor.
