"There was no good guy with a gun to protect us kids at school."
Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA 14th District) immediately pounced.
Taking him up on his offer, she stated in response, “When I was in 12th grade and Joe Biden made our schools gun-free school zones, one of the students in my school brought three guns to school and our entire school went on lockdown because he was the only person with a gun. There was no good guy with a gun to protect us kids at school.”
MTG is known for her unapologetic views on protecting children and the necessary bond between parents and children, often championing the rights of parents.
She went on to reference the recent shooting in Nashville in which Audrey Hale, a 28 year old trans-identified female in treatment for mental illness, blasted through the doors of Covenant School and, encountering no security within the school, roamed freely through the hallways, murdering 3 young children and 3 adults.
Police acted with immediacy and arrived in under 14 minutes, clearing the school and locating Hale in a matter of minutes, preventing her from massacring anyone else. However the fact remains that she was able to gain entry and murder 6 people (three of them between 8 and 9 years old) without any armed security.
Katherine Koonce, the 60 year old head teacher of the school, was on a Zoom call when she heard gunfire. She immediately ran out of her office toward the heavily armed Hale, with no protection herself, in an attempt to protect the children. Hale quickly assassinated her.
Authorities disclosed that Hale left behind a large amount of planned attacks written out for multiple locations but decided to go to the school because there was no security.
Referencing this fact, MTG continued, “Do you want to know why the shooter is dead?...The trans shooter in Nashville? Because a good guy with a gun killed that woman. She identified as a man, she was mentally ill, probably taking hormones, and she went in and murdered children and adults in this Christian school in Nashville.”
Delivering a final punch, MTG concluded, “So if you want to have a good talk about schools and protecting children, we need to talk about protecting our children the same way we protect our president, we protect our celebrities and we protect this building.”
Moskowitz, the darling of the dems gun control cabal, was visibly uncomfortable as MTG delivered truths that have been silenced by the loud voices and violence of activists in recent times.
