Erin O'Toole addressed media today, criticizing the Liberals' "entitlement and arrogance" for nearly triggering an election "rather than just answering a few questions."

"After prorogation, months of delay, political games at committee, obstruction, the resignation of the minister of finance, and now the threat of an election in the middle of the second wave of a pandemic—all because the Conservative opposition is asking a few questions about Liberal spending and decisions, and the appearance of corruption amidst a pandemic," said O'Toole.

"Creating a committee has never in our history been grounds for a confidence vote. It's Mr. Trudeau that is making it a confidence vote, because Mr. Trudeau would prefer to try and go to an election rather than answer questions about insider spending scandals, rather than tell Canadians that he has no plan for the economic relaunch of our country," said O'Toole.
