Texas Republican Governor Greg Abbott joined Sean Hannity on Fox News Monday to discuss President Joe Biden's hypocrisy on shutting down the Northern border with Canada as the administration continues to allow caravans of COVID positive illegal immigrants to flood through the US/Mexico border.
"This shows the double standard of the Biden administration," Abbott said.
"The Biden administration is allowing people to come across the Southern border, many of whom who have COVID, most of whom are not really being checked for COVID. Those who do have COVID, some have been released into our cities at the very same time the Biden administration is preventing people to come across the Northern border from Canada and into he United States," Abbott continued, pointing out the blatant hypocrisy of the Biden administration.
"There's a double standard as it concerns American citizens that the Biden administration wants to put even more draconian controls on but is allowing these people to come across the Southern border," Abbott added.
The current situation at the US/Mexico border has gotten exponentially worse after former President Donald Trump left office, whose administration had strong border policies, a vast difference from Biden's open border policies.
Texas G0vernor Greg Abbott announced last week that his state's National Guard would be deployed to help troopers make arrests as Border Patrol agents struggle to detain the mass influx of illegal immigrants attempting to cross into the United States.
