Texas Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick joined Laura Ingraham on Fox News Monday and slammed the Biden administration for their lenient policies at the US Southern border which led to a human smuggler killing two civilians in a car chase.
"Mayorkas, I'm asking you to resign," Lt. Gov. Patrick said.
The tragic incident occurred in Mission, Texas on Saturday morning. An alleged human smuggler collided with another vehicle while attempting to evade law enforcement. The collision killed a 59-year-old mother and a 21-year-old daughter. The suspect, 18, was taken into custody along with six alleged illegal immigrants that were also in the van.
"I've seen alot of death in this job as Lt. Gov., from domestic shootings, police violence, and disasters, but this one hit me to my core," Patrick told Ingraham. "The flame of their life put out in a moment, their future gone forever, their family grieving."
"Did I see any comment from the White House? Did I see condolences and prayers from either Biden, Kamala Harris, or Mayorkas? No!" Patrick explained.
"They don't care about American lives. The blood is on the hands of the President," Patrick continued. "This is a hard thing for me to say, but I believe it in my heart, if these policies won't change this won't be the last people to be killed."
"They don't care about the smugglers and gang members that kill innocent Americans. They don't care about law enforcement that are killed by illegals. They don't care about the flood of drugs coming in," Patrick explained. "Mayorkas, I'm asking you to resign tonight."
"If you (Mayorkas) won't resign, and if Mr. President, you won't reach out to the family, then you have to look yourself in the mirror and ask yourself, 'Do you care at all about them?'" Texas Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick said as he slammed the Biden administration.
Fox News host Laura Ingraham said that lack of condolences is nothing new for the Democratic party when it comes to crimes committed at the US/Mexico border.
"This President shows that he doesn't care," Patrick said. "He doesn't care about Americans left behind in Afghanistan. He doesn't care about what inflation is doing to American families. He has put these radical policies of the left–open borders on the line–and people are paying a price."
