Premier Jason Kenney said he was “absolutely confident” that the donations would not put Alberta in any sort of vulnerable position in fighting their own fight.

A now-viral video has emerged of Toronto families making noise for the United Conservatives' Jason Kenney and the province of Alberta's donation of vital personal protective equipment to Ontario.

Alberta has continued to outperform their projection models, with Kenney announcing on Saturday that the province would be donating their excess gear to Ontario, British Columbia, and Quebec.

This is how our street in Toronto says thanks to Alberta for the incredibly generous gift of PPE. My daughter on the porch is a nurse who will directly benefit. Our hearts are filled with thanks #heartsinthewindow #thanksalberta #strongertogether #sharingmakesusstronger

The video was published on Monday and has been shared hundreds of times.

Alberta set out to donate 750,000 N95 masks, seven million surgical masks and 50 ventilators. Gloves and goggles are also being sent.

Premier Jason Kenney said he was “absolutely confident” that the donations would not put Alberta in any sort of vulnerable position in fighting their own fight.

“These contributions will in no way undermine our capacity to provide the critical protective equipment and ventilators to Alberta’s medical professionals and to other associated frontline workers,” Kenney said on Saturday.

“We would not contribute if it in any way impaired our ability to provide for our own health care needs, but I for one, as an Albertan and as a Canadian, could not in conscience watch us stockpile massive amounts of surplus equipment while we see many of our fellow Canadians, some provinces, within days of running out of some of these supplies.”
