President Donald Trump called a journalist's question "very nasty" today in a press conference, after the journalist said that he was giving Americans "a false sense of hope."
The journalist in question was NBC News's Peter Alexander, who Trump described as a "terrible reporter."
“Is it possible that your impulse to put a positive spin on things may be giving Americans a false sense of hope?,” said Alexander.
"No I don’t think so. It may work, it may not work. I feel good about. That’s all it is; it’s a feeling."
Trump also attacked NBC and Comcast, which he calls "Concast" for their biased reporting—even during a time of national emergency.
Fellow White House reporter Kaitlan Collins (who works at CNN) followed-up on Trump's response, asking whether the President's remarks were appropriate.
Trump responded by saying, "I do, because I think that Peter is not a good journalist when it comes to fairness."
