With the recent news overseas today that France is locking down again, it’s a moment of reflection on the policies of different countries.
For folks in Canada, the contrast is striking given how back in October last year the Canadian government called it “disinformation” that people will be forcibly sent to COVID quarantine sites.
Yet here we are. For people traveling home from abroad, they have one massive pandemic roadblock standing in their way. A policy that has been in place since last month.
Via Prime Minister Justin Trudeau via Twitter: "If your results come back negative for COVID-19, you’ll be able to head home and finish your mandatory quarantine there. If your test results come back positive, you’ll need to immediately quarantine in designated government facilities. This is not optional."
Mitch Beaulieu told CTV News after landing at Calgary's international airport he was "put into a black van with tinted windows and taken to an undisclosed location," which comes off sounding like a kidnapping.
The Canadian public was lied to by their government. This was the hot topic for Tucker Carlson’s opening monologue tonight.
"Suddenly Canada is a flagrant violator of the most basic human rights. Fail a COVID test and they will lock you up without trial. And go ahead and try to disobey. According to the Canadian government, anyone who attempts to avoid these rules (detention in a government internment facility for example) could face a million dollar fine and three years in prison."
"This is Justin Trudeau's Canada. It's funny – Trudeau always seemed like a cheerful idiot: wearing weird costumes and yammering on about diversity. WHO KNEW he was Mussolini?"
Tucker talks about warnings like one from Conservative Shadow Minister for Health Michelle Garner said in a press release at the beginning of March.
She called for an end to the “Hotel Quarantine Debacle” and described “horrifying reports of sexual assault, unsafe and deplorable conditions at federal quarantine hotel facilities have emerged. We have heard reports that it is taking hours to get through to book these hotels, dietary restrictions are not being met, and food and water are not always readily available.”
The atrocious conditions of those unfortunate enough to end up at one of these facilities was highlighted in an expose here on The Post Millennial. While there was an effort by other outlets to downplay this situation, we got an anonymous source that provided photo evidence of poor upkeep at these places where people are housed.
With that background in mind, reports of sexual assaults at these internment facilities aren’t out of the question. The doors of the rooms not being locked is certainly easy for management to overlook.
People’s well-being is a means to an end for Canadian Leader Trudeau. He’s too preoccupied focusing on his big picture plans. It was late last year when Canada decided to increase their migration targets to 401,000 for 2021.
That being the “opportunity for a reset” the pandemic provides, according to the PM.
