President Joe Biden appeared to have read aloud silent prompts written on the teleprompter during Friday's address, wherein he repeated his call that Roe v. Wade be codified into law.
After reading off a quote from Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito, Biden reads off "end of quote, repeat the line" before repeating the quote.
Biden has had similar teleprompter-related gaffes in the past, including one from 2021 where he audibly reads "end of quote."

Biden's apparent propensity to read off everything that is written on a teleprompter has led some to draw comparisons between Biden and Will Ferrell's character Ron Burgundy, who famously reads everything that is written on a teleprompter, verbatim.

The president's reliance on teleprompters has even drawn the attention of Tesla and Space X CEO Elon Musk, who said in May that the "real president is whoever controls the teleprompter."
