Marty Allain posted a video on Facebook of Nicholas, his five-year-old son, driving a mini-Zamboni and clearing the ice. The video went viral way beyond their expectations.

The NHL people got wind of the video and reproduce it everywhere and now everybody knows about Nicholas and his mini-Zamboni.

"FRESH SHEET ALERT" is the caption that the NHL gave to the video, which shows little Nicholas clearing the ice as good as the pros do at his local rink, using a battery-powered mini kids' truck which had been modified for Zamboni duty. One can see just how well it (and Nicholas) work in the video.

According to Canadian News Feed, Allain commented, when asked about his son's new-found fame, "It’s just something I did for fun… I never thought it would go around on the internet. It’s pretty cool."

Allain said that when he saw the video actually go up on the official NHL website, "I had to look twice, I couldn’t believe that they would ask me to put this on their website. It was a little joke for our house here and our friends."
