Conservative MP Warren Steinley had an important question for the New Democrats during Question Period on Monday

"My question to the Prime Minister: How did he convince the federal NDP to sell out the core beliefs of Jack Layton and Tommy Douglas?"

Steinley's question comes after New Democrat leader Jagmeet Singh said that his party would reluctantly vote in favour of the Emergencies Act.

"We're reluctant because it should have never gotten to this point," he said.

Singh said that he would support the act to target the financing of the convoy, and the serious threat to Canadians, citizens of the city of Ottawa, and democracy that they posed.

"As soon as it is no longer necessary, we will pull our support," he said.

Steinley was also momentarily stopped on Monday during his question to the Liberals for calling the party "corrupt."

"We see the leader of the NDP bending over backwards to prop up the most corrupt government in Canadian history," said Steinley, which is one of Parliament's forbidden words.

He would then call the party "scandalous."

"When will we see the celebration of the Liberals official coalition with the NDP?" he asked.
