A video released alongside the update stated, "there’s been a lot of launches lately," referencing headlines about Operation Epic Fury in Iran. "relax, this one’s an app," the voiceover continued. "Track the latest news, livestreams, and everything White House, including the kind everyone’s talking about."
The announcement comes after a number of cryptic posts made by the White House on social media in recent days, including short videos and pixelated images of the president and vice president.
The app homepage includes a list of priorities of the administration, as well as a category on affordability that shows the average price of common items such as eggs and milk. It also includes a list of recent large investments that companies and countries have made into the United States.
The app includes a social media tab, which gathers all of the White House and White House-affiliated accounts across all platforms in one place, including X, Instagram, YouTube, and Truth Social.
The launch of the app was met with mixed reactions, with some noting how portions of the app were not working shortly after it was announced.
