Whoopi Goldberg says Biden 'could throw every Republican in jail' if Trump wins immunity case

Host of "The View" Whoopi Goldberg said in an episode on Thursday that if the Supreme Court sides with former President Donald Trump on his presidential immunity argument in the January 6 case, President Joe Biden would then be able to "throw every Republican in jail." 

The episode, which aired on Thursday, touched on the topic of Trump's J6 election case in Washington DC where he has argued that presidential immunity would prohibit legal action from being taken against him.  

"Let's look at a scenario where the Supreme Court says, 'Yes, he has all those rights, he's immune from everything,'" Goldberg began, later adding that "[Biden] could throw every Republican in jail... What this means is that he could do everything." 

Another hypothetical the show host proposed was that Biden could get rid of everyone's debts as well. Co-host Joy Behar then mused about the motivations of the justices for taking up the case, saying that there would be no way that the court would agree with Trump.  

"What is their motivation for not doing it right away?" Behar asked referring to the case's oral arguments that will take place in April. Sunny Hostin then went on to theorize about how the court is trying to help Trump delay the proceedings of the case.  

Hostin then went on to lament about the possibility of Trump winning the 2024 election and then not be able to be indicted by the Justice Department. 

The comments from Goldberg come as the FBI has purged conservative employees and the DOJ is under investigation for the “weaponization of government” against conservatives as well.
