Star Trek actor and noted far-left "progressive" Wil Wheaton had a string of harsh words for comedy legend Dave Chappelle on Tuesday on Facebook upon finding out that Chappelle will be headlining this year's "Netflix is a Joke" comedy festival.

"Absolutely disgusted. Every single comedian who is on this bill should withdraw unless and until this despicable bigot is uninvited," commented Wheaton.

"Any comedian who is part of this should be ashamed of themselves. Netflix may not believe in holding this piece of shit to account, but you all have to live with yourselves and the choices you make to perform with him."

"And f*ck EVERYONE at Netflix who is part of this. Trans rights are human rights and words matter."

Chappelle has been the center of much controversy lately, always taking it in stride and refusing to back down.

Wheaton later went back to add to his post, saying:

"EDIT: 12 hours later, an important follow-up thought. It’s very easy for me to sit in my chair and issue edicts about what other people should do. That’s presumptuous, and it overwhelms a larger point that I made in a comment here, which is also in its own post."

"I withdraw that outburst, and I regret saying it. Like, I don’t know if anyone cares, but I guess I do and I want to own it."

Wheaton, in another Facebook post put up as a follow-up to the previous one, also tells his "audience" about how he used to think Eddie Murphy's 1983 stand-up classic "Delirious" was funny, but now "realizes" that Murphy's comedy was what he now calls "homophobic."

He goes on to detail an incident that happened when he was 16 and used a slur against homosexuals in front of a group of them after a hockey game, blaming "comedy" for having done so.

Wheaton famously also recently expressed his anger at the Kyle Rittenhouse verdict on social media, to widespread criticism.
