On March 2nd Texas governor Greg Abbot motioned to end the statewide mask mandate. However this isn’t stopping some people from running into trouble with the law as to being required to wear one.

Terry Wright is a 65-year-old originally from Grants Pass, Oregon. She reportedly went traveling down to Texas in an RV to “cross items off her bucket list.”

Over the past few weeks Wright has found herself causing a ruckus for authorities in Texas, as they have to deal with her antics. To clarify, it's not just the fact the woman refuses to wear a mask that gets her in trouble. Terry Wright also refuses to leave establishments when confronted about it.

Today’s incident according to KTRK happened at an Office Depot in Texas City. Employees asked Terry to leave for not wearing a face mask and she didn’t budge.

They go on to explain the previous incident that Wright got in trouble for in the first place. She went into a Bank of America in Galveston on March 11th and asserted that since the state’s mask mandate is lifted, she can go wherever she wants. The officer had to remind her that private businesses can still demand masks, regardless of Governor Greg Abbot’s lifting of the statewide policy.

"Ma'am, listen, we can do this the easy way or the hard way,” the officer told her.

"What are you going to do? Arrest me?" Terry Wright responds.

She taunts the officer. It escalates into a physical fight, which led to Wright being charged on both trespass and resisting arrest.

The issue of masks and their application is contentious. Just today alone John Kerry was called out by Donald Trump Jr. for not wearing a mask on a commercial flight, flouting the Biden administration’s rules on the matter.
