Authorities in San Antonio, Texas have revealed that after a 21-year-old woman was shot at an illegal rave over the weekend, a number of other attendees recorded her as she lay dying on the floor.

Bexar County Sheriff Javier Salazar called their actions "cold-blooded and disturbing."

During a press conference held Saturday, Salazar said that the incident took place shortly before 4 am that morning at a former Knights of Columbus hall on the 8200 block of Old Pearsall Road. The building, which was not supposed to be occupied and had illegal water and electricity hookups, was "packed" with people who had heard about the rave via social media.

He explained that following "some sort of disagreement," gunfire broke out, with bullets striking the woman, and a 29-year-old man on the other side of the room who survived and was transported to a local hospital. Neither of the victims have been publicly identified.

"We do have some information from some of the witnesses that people sat there and videotaped this little girl as she was dying, taking her last breaths," he continued. "That's about as cold-blooded and disturbing as you can get. This little girl's dying, gasping for air, and they're videotaping her as she's dying."

Salazar said it was "frustrating" that of the nearly 100 people believed to have been at the rave, only 20 people stuck around after police showed up to speak with police. He lamented the fact that, "a little girl 21 years of age is now dead, and nobody's able to give us any information."

One man who fled the scene but later returned to retrieve his cellphone was arrested on an unrelated warrant for possession of a controlled substance. He was found to have been carrying a weapon and his pants, which had blood stains, were taken in as evidence, however, he is not suspected of being the gunman at this time.
