On Monday, Infowars was given the green light to return to X, making its account, and the one belonging to its founder, Alex Jones, the latest to be reinstated under Elon Musk as he continues his crusade for free speech on the platform.
Both Jones and Infowars were banned from X, then known as Twitter, in 2018.
"Wow. The [Infowars] account has also been reinstated," recently unincarcerated host Owen Shroyer posted. "LETS GO!"
The account's last post was sent on Sept. 6, 2018 and linked to an Infowars segment featuring Roger Stone with the caption "The Globalists Soft Coup Is In Full Gear."
Its first activity after a five-year hiatus was to repost a clip of Jones performing his famous yell with rock music in the background.
"Beyond excited for the snowflakes to curl up in a ball and cry over their bowl of crickets when [Alex Jones] is back on X," the caption on the original December 9 post read.
In the hours since, Infowars has wasted no time in getting back to business, posting content for its nearly 400,000 followers.
Last week, Musk teased the idea of letting X users decide whether Jones would be allowed back on the platform, and on Saturday, he followed through, running a poll with the simple question, "Reinstate Alex Jones on this platform? Vox Populi, Vox Dei."
When the poll was closed after 12 hours, over 70 percent of the nearly 2 million respondents voted "yes."
With that, Jones, and Infowars, were back.
In a statement, Jones praised Musk, saying the billionaire "has come out and said he vehemently disagrees with things I have said in the past about that school shooting, but he is going to leave it up to the viewers and the users of X."
As CBS News reports, Jones and Infowars were given what were supposed to be lifetime bans by the previous Twitter regime as the result of numerous tweets and videos that "violate [Twitter's] abusive behavior policy," in addition to their repeated past violations.
