A nationwide progressive activist group called "Indivisible" has organized several direct actions to occur on March 22 outside of Tesla dealerships in Tennessee. The "Tesla Takedown" protests are scheduled to take place around 1 pm in Memphis, Chatanooga, Franklin, and Knoxville, according to its website.

On Tuesday, Indivisible Tennessee issued a post to its private Facebook group announcing the demonstration along with an attached photo of an event flyer. "Alright folks, weather looking good for this Saturday, we're going to do this!" the group wrote in the post.

Indivisible Tennessee has also announced its intention to intensify its campaign against Elon Musk, indicating that the protests will not be halted in the near future.

"We are creating a calendar to add events in Tennessee in hopes of raising awareness and increasing attendance. If you have an event that you believe aligns with our mission and want to get the word out, register below with any information you have!" the group wrote on its website in a box underneath the "Tesla Takedown" events.

Indivisible is a nationwide progressive activist group that was created to "resist the Trump agenda," per its website.

This planned direct action follows the ongoing violent attacks carried out on Tesla dealerships, vehicles, service centers, and charging stations across the nation by Democratic activists in protest of Elon Musk's association with the Trump administration. Some of the attacks have included firebombings, shootings, arson, extensive property damage, graffiti, and other criminal acts of violence, including in Oregon, Washington, Illinois, and Nevada. US Attorney General Pam Bondi has since designated the ongoing attacks as "domestic terrorism." A few suspects have been arrested in connection to incidents across the nation. Some of them are facing up to 20 years in prison, according to Bondi.

"The swarm of violent attacks on Tesla property is nothing short of domestic terrorism," Attorney General Bondi said in a statement on Tuesday. "The Department of Justice has already charged several perpetrators with that in mind, including in cases that involve charged with five-year mandatory minimum sentences. We will continue investigations that impose severe consequences on those involved in these attacks, including those operating behind the scenes to coordinate and fund these crimes."

Musk, who was tapped by Trump to run the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), a newly established agency aimed at reducing government waste and expenditures, told Fox News' Sean Hannity in an interview on Tuesday that he was disheartened by the attacks.

"It's come as quite a shock to me that there's this level of hatred and violence from the left. I always thought that Democrats were supposed to be the party of empathy and caring and yet they're burning down cars, firebombing dealerships, firing bullets into dealerships, and smashing up Teslas," said Musk. "Tesla is a peaceful company, we've never done anything harmful. I've never done anything harmful, I've only done productive things. I think we have a deranged mental illness thing going on here because this doesn't make any sense."
