DailyWire+ and Angel Studios have teamed up for the release of the movie "Sound of Hope: The Story of Possum Trot." The film will be officially released in theaters over the July 4th weekend.

The moving film was produced by Peacetree Production and is inspired by the adoption of 77 kids out of the foster care system. The film details the lives of Donna and Reverend Martin who, alongside 22 other families from their rural black church, adopt the children out of the system in the East Texas town of Possum Trot.

Each of the kids had been the most difficult ones to place in homes in the foster system, however, "this community proved that with real, determined love, the battle of America’s most vulnerable can be won," a press release on the film stated.

Daily Wire co-CEO and co-founder Jeremey Boreing stated, “We are thrilled to partner with Angel Studios, a company that not only shares our commitment to creating impactful and meaningful entertainment but also excels in doing so." He added, “Speaking as the father of an adopted daughter myself, ‘Sound of Hope’ is truly inspirational. We know it will resonate deeply with our audience - and far beyond - and has the power to make a true cultural impact for kids and families in crisis. We want millions to see this film.”

“A common request from Angel fans over the years has been to do a collaboration with The Daily Wire,” Angel’s Chief Content Officer Jeff Harmon said of the project. “We are pleased to find a project where we can work together, and this one is special. I was moved so deeply I couldn’t stop thinking about it for weeks after seeing it, and it’s having a similar effect on audiences around the nation in numerous pre-release screenings. They’re being affected like I haven’t seen.”

Angel Studios is the same company that released the blockbuster film, "Sound of Freedom" in theaters last year on the Fourth of July. Last year's film with Jim Caviezel as the lead was based on the actions of Tim Ballard, who left a position in the Department of Homeland Security in order to rescue children who had been ensnared by sex trafficking.

Angel Studios' synopsis of the "Sound of Hope" film states that it is based on "the true story of Bishop and First Lady Donna Martin, and their tiny Bennett Chapel church, in the town of Possum Trot in the woods of East Texas." Tickets are on sale ahead of the first showing.
